Activision Blizzard the Publisher Of Call of Duty buys King Digital Entertainment, King is the creator of Candy Crush Saga. According to the CEO, candy crush is one of the the largest networks of players on Facebook and had 474 million monthly active users in the third quarter of 2015.
This deal cost $5.9 billion for Activision Blizzard, The company also owns one of the biggest gaming franchises in Call of Duty. This move from Activision Blizzard gives company instant access to a huge mobile market. According to latest earnings report of the company, it has just five percent of its net revenue coming from the mobile sector.
By buying King, Activision Blizzard gets to reach over half-a-billion people in 196 countries, a move that it says will generate $36 billion in revenue by the end of this year.
