At IFA in Berlin, the company used the pressure-sensitive Force Touch technology in its new Mate S smartphone to weigh an orange. Mate S is the latest attempt from Huawei to capture the high-end market with a stunning smartphone.
The new Mate S come in with the 5.5 1080p display, a 2700mAh battery, an octa-core Kirin processor, a 13-megapixel rear camera an 8-megapixel front-facing shooter, 3GB of RAM and 32/64GB of storage.
The Phone features a curved 2.5D glass and a pair of speaker grills along the bottom edge. The sleek aluminum design comes in a variety of colors, including gold, grey, champagne and pink.
The new Mate S also comes in with the force touch technology, Yes Huawei might have stole the idea of Apple, As Apple introduced Force Touch on the Apple Watch and is rumoured to coming next week in the new iPhones. Huawei did a extra ordinary job for introducing the force technology, Company uses its pressure-sensitive Force Touch technology to weigh an orange live on stage. The Mate S display can tell how hard you’re pressing down and respond accordingly. It even doubles as a small kitchen scale.
The new Mate S also has a fingerprint reader in back, which it says is 100 percent faster and 100 percent more sensitive than before. It can even be used to answer an incoming call or snap a selfie.
Huawei also unveiled its Knuckle Sense.This uses input from users’ knuckles for different functions, for example, you can outline an image to crop it and tap twice with your knuckle to quickly share something online.
Huawei Mate S will start from a price tag of €650 in Europe for the 32GB model, or €699 for 64GB of storage. It’s also headed to parts of Asia, Africa and the Middle East.Company has not announced any plans for a U.S. launch.
