Samsung launches two new phones in its unpacked event in New York – Note 5 and S6 Edge Plus. The new S6 Edge Plus is the new, bigger version for its smaller predecessor.
Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Comes in with a larger 5.7-inch version of the S6 Edge’s quad HD AMOLED screen and is powered by the same octa-core Exynos processor with that crispy 16-megapixel sensor which made Samsung Galaxy S6 one of the best camera on a phone. S6 Edge plus also has a slightly bigger battery around at 3,000mAh , which will charge as fast as S6 edge ( Thats a achievement there) .
Comparing Samsung galaxy S6 Edge Plus to its smaller predecessor Samsung Galaxy S6 , They look and feels the same. The glass body is ringed by metal, with volume buttons on the left and a sleep / power button on the right. There’s a headphone jack and speaker on the bottom of the phone, and the rear camera still bulges out.
Samsung made a little software tweak by introducing “People Edge” shortcut with the S6 Edge, which placed a tab on the side of the phone’s home screen, which let you set and access your most-used contacts. Now in the S6 Edge+ there’s also “Apps Edge,” which lets you quick-launch apps. A swipe on the shortcut tab will bring up whatever you most recently used.
There is also an common new feature between the new Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Plus is the ability to live stream on YouTube right from the native camera app. You can schedule streams or push them live on the spot, and you’re given the option to create a private, invite-only session or grab a public URL to share on your social media.
