iPad just lacks one point in it , that the multi tasking feature . There is no software feature that allows the user to view dual app at once . Where as Samsung allows even its mobile users to multi task dual app window . But now apple is working on a dual-app viewing mode, 12-inch iPads codenamed “J98″ and “J99,” as well as support for multi-user logins, according to sources briefed on the plans.

Apple wanted to debut the side by side support with iOS 8 at WWDC 2014 , But this feature was matching feature of Microsoft’s Surface and Surface Pro tablets. So this idea was dropped from iOS 8 and was tentative plans to appear in iOS 8.1 But the software engineering resources was really busy in finishing the iPhone 6 , iPhone 6 Plus and Apple Watch its was not possible to introduce it on 8.1

So the sources says that Apple is planning to introduce the side by side viewing mode in its upcoming iOS 9 at WWDC 15 in its currently available iPad models. The latest plans suggest that the split-screen mode will support 1/2, 1/3, and 2/3 views depending on the apps. When split, the screen can either display two different apps side-by-side, or multiple views of the same app.

Apple is also expected to release its most awaited 12 inch iPad Pro so it could potentially be held back for a debut with the new hardware. Sources have confirmed that Apple is testing jumbo-sized iPads internally codenamed “J98″ and “J99,” which are apparently larger versions of the Wi-Fi-only and Wi-Fi + Cellular iPad Air 2, save for additional speaker holes.
